Integrative Therapy is a combined approach to psychotherapy. I consider your specific needs in a holistic way. Take into account your individual situation, and adapt my techniques to your personal circumstances. I do not use a single therapeutic approach.
NW Therapy recognises that One size does not fit all. There are many valuable theoretical approaches to psychology despite some conflicting principles. For me it is important to work in a way that will be effective for you as an individual, with all your complex and personal needs.
I have studied the theoretical basis of many approaches. These are used in a therapeutic way within your personal counselling program to promote your mental, physical and emotional health.
Once you feel safe to do so, it will facilitate your therapy if you can commit to self-exploration and being open about issues in your life. Then issues may be seen in a different light.
Once triggers for disruptive patterns can be identified you can put strategies in place to help you move towards your identified goals.
I may use modalities such as:-
Humanistic therapies
Psychoanalytical and psychodynamic therapies
Cognitive and Behavioural therapies
As each theoretical approach gives a unique understanding resulting in positive change to emotion, thought, and behaviour. So that coupled with support through difficult life circumstances, real improvements can result for you as an individual.
I work in a non-judgemental way to support you at NW Therapy. I want to hear what you have to say, and try to understand how things are for you as an individual. My focus is upon your needs and concerns, and I will integrate therapeutic approaches and tailor them to your needs.
Integrative Therapy is helpful in improving wellbeing for all, but particularly recognised as being effective in overcoming negative patterns of behaviour caused by anxieties, fears, phobias, addictions, depression, past and current trauma, bereavement and low self-esteem.
The length of the therapy depends upon your issues, needs, and the therapeutic goals we set. So we will regularly review progress during therapy and work towards a good ending to your therapy.
Call me at NW Therapy, on 07944897678, if you want to book a session.
Personal consultations, telephone, or face time sessions are available, if appropriate.
